Chloris Lowe currently lives and works in central Wisconsin. In addition to his studio practice Chloris has been given an opportunity to further learn and teach the Ho-Chunk language. Commissions can be obtained by starting a conversation using the contact info provided below.
I maintain a studio practice which utilizes my experience and expertise as an artist, designer, maker and educator. Through the creation of sculptural objects, utility melds with aesthetics. While commissions for both furniture and sculpture are taken, studio output focuses on creative exploration and the relationships between object and place.
Though much attention has been paid to developing a proficiency in woodworking, my work encompasses a wide range of media including steel, fabric, ceramics and concrete. Attention is paid to the materiality of objects and the places which they reside, both in the mind as well as their physical placement within the world.
Please contact regarding availability of specific pieces or commissions. - At this time most pieces shown in Gallery pages are in collections, not for sale or no longer in existence.
